Transdisciplinary collaborations bridging science and art
I facilitate knowledge transfer between artistic and scientific disciplines, fostering innovation and value for institutions, organizations, and society. In a landscape increasingly shaped by AI‑assisted content creation and automated channels, I focus on how human relationships, context, and co‑creation remain central, using AI as a tool for reflection and orchestration rather than merely as a means of generating more output.
As a creative research consultant, I specialize in facilitating common ground for multiple fields of expertise in transdisciplinary collaborations that bridge artistic and scientific disciplines. My approach is rooted in the belief that integrating artistic perspectives into scientific domains —and vice versa —opens new pathways for knowledge transfer, developing concepts that go beyond the familiar, enriching artists and scientists alike, and creating value for institutions, organizations, companies, and society.
For artists, I provide opportunities to understand scientific findings and underlying concepts, building bridges to research and technologies that inspire and substantiate new creative directions. Through workshops and residencies, I encourage exploration of scientific implications and developments, connecting diverse cultures to create works that resonate beyond conventional artistic frameworks.
For scientists and research institutions, I introduce novel formats for knowledge dissemination, science engagement, and R&D, with a focus on experiential and participatory experiences. By incorporating artistic approaches, scientists enhance their perspectives and methods, contextualize their work within broader cultural frameworks, and widen reception — strengthening the relevance and impact of their research.
Services offered include, but are not restricted to, the following:
Creative Research Consulting
I help organizations develop context‑sensitive, locally rooted collaborations that draw on the specific dynamics of each environment. This supports the development of innovation cultures and learning ecosystems where art and science can co‑evolve.
Workshops
I design and facilitate workshops to develop artworks, create SciArt exhibitions, host SciArt events, realize immersive or interactive installations, or design entire strategic residencies.
Realizing SciArt / ArtSci Works
From concept, writing, and direction to production, creative research, and scientific consulting, I support the full lifecycle of SciArt projects, aligning them with institutional strategy and audience engagement.
Relationship Building and Matchmaking
I identify suitable partners for specific fields and topics and help clients integrate diverse disciplines and relevant stakeholders to achieve unique outcomes. Project concepts, content, and production are developed cost‑sensitively and in close consultation. I share my experience and international network to support client ideas, aims, and requests.
Design, Production, Curation, and Mentoring of Tailored Residencies
Residencies enable organizations, institutions, and companies to engage meaningfully with their social and environmental ecosystems. They empower employees and partners to expand their scope for self‑directed action, turning communication from content production into relationship orchestration.
Analyzing and Contextualizing Core Content and Materials
I analyze and contextualize core content and materials for STEAM, STEM+, and storytelling‑based hands‑on workshops in education and training, helping institutions translate complex topics into accessible, engaging experiences.
Strategic Content and Format Development
I develop compelling, tailored content and formats for strategic communication, engagement, knowledge transfer, and production, transforming complex topics and effectively integrating stakeholders. In this context, I see communication not only as message creation but as the design of relationships, journeys, and participation structures that generate measurable impact.
With my clients, I explore the preconditions for transformational projects and align them with strategic goals. By fostering mutual learning among all participants, we co‑create solutions that meaningfully integrate relevant stakeholders and extend the reach of both art and science.
With over 15 years of initiating and directing cross‑sectoral projects that leverage deep scientific knowledge across productions, services, products, and workshops, I have delivered interactive exhibits, award‑winning SciArt installations, and moving images with global exposure across three continents, curated and facilitated six creators‑in‑residencies, and numerous SciArt workshops.
I look forward to exploring potential collaborations!
